Today was kind of shitty. It wasn't any one thing particularly, but my project is at a point where I can't do anything more for it except wait and deal with things as they unfold. We're in a complete crisis in a certain area but it's not my area and we are actually effectively pressing on with the build. Still, though. Everyone's completely consumed by this problem. It's a team full of superstars, so it's going to be okay, but for now it's exhausting.
I got home all bleh and then Gareth came home (he's visiting for a week yay!) with groceries and I decided I wanted to bake something. So we looked through cook books and the internet for a while and then we found it. A Gordon Ramsay recipe for tarte tatin. We're making two: nectarine and pear. I'm going to bring them to work tomorrow for my team and hopefully it will make us all slightly less demoralized. Hopefully.
Yum. I'll post pictures when we're done. The puff pastry is defrosting now.
