Books books books

I've finally gotten my workspace set up! Huzzah! It's so nice to be able to look at a monitor and use a keyboard instead of hunching over a little laptop. So much more comfortable. Mmmm.

Now, to go through all of our books....

Right now we have two fairly small bookshelves with five shelves that are about 25" wide. That's not a huge amount of space for two people who have tons of reference books. I've asked James to bring his books to the office. I should probably follow suit. That said, there's still a ton of books. And what do you do with them all? Get rid of anything you've ever read before? What if you really liked it and think you're probably going to read it again... Keep some in boxes? I just don't know.

Some of the books will go to charity. Others... resell on amazon.com? How easy is this to do, anyone know? Do you constantly have to go to the post office to mail shit? Bleh.

We're still working on furniture for the living room - we were going to do a sectional and fell in love with one, even, but there's just not enough space. Not with the projector, which needs to live somewhere. So I think we're going to do a sofa and a couple of chairs around a coffee table. It should be nice... if we ever make a decision.

James takes his Series 7 next week... on his birthday. Yuck.

My first week at work was good. It's a slow period for them right now (blessedly so, from what I gather) so I'm really just poking about and looking at the types of things people are doing and getting up to speed with stuff. Everyone's really nice and I even already got a paycheck. I think I made the right decision. Now to call all of those people who work around me and start setting up lunch outings and the like. :)

Tomorrow: Bears game with friends and also hopefully, Christmas present purchasing. Hopefully.
