On Apartment Hunting
After three hours of wandering around to six apartments, we come home empty-handed. My favorite was on Wall Street - but it was dark, and the Wall Street area is not our favorite. There was nothing in Battery Park City that jumped out at us.
All of the Verdesian apartments are gone - not terribly surprising, but a bit disappointing. That said, we're glad we didn't sign a lease before we got here, as we would probably have stressed ourselves to death if we had.
So, although we did like a few we saw, we didn't fall in love with any of them. We debated which one we should take over dinner, then realized that our lack of energy about the whole thing was telling us that none of them were right. So, back to the drawing board!
