My rheumatoid factor test came in and the result was... NEGATIVE! YAY!!!
According to NHS Direct:
A blood test may be carried out to identify a protein called the rheumatoid factor in the blood. The absence of this protein does not necessarily mean that you do not have rheumatoid arthritis.
Nonetheless, it probably isn't rheumatoid arthritis, which is Very Good.
Great news! Wonder what's wrong with your hands?
WWWWHHHHHHHEEEEEWWWWWW!!!! Carpal Tunnel? (I have it, which is bad for a keyboard player...)
Well it MIGHT still be rheumatoid. Just not necessarily. Not carpal tunnel, definitely, as that's always accompanied by tingliness or numbness, which I don't have. Also, this is just in the joints, strangely. I'll have to go back to the doc, clearly. :)
